A phone shop sells one model in three storage sizes and four colours, takes old phones as part payment, and has two or three people at the counter. Tabs is inventory and sales software being built for a shop like that.

01 · Stock
Every model, storage size and colour.
Keep one product for the model and a variant for each storage size and colour, each with its own price, count and barcode. “Do you have the 256GB in black?” gets an answer without opening the glass.

02 · Swaps
Swaps, written down properly.
Take the old phone, agree the credit, and Tabs records both sides on one order. The used phone goes into your stock, and the credit never shows up as cash.

03 · Scanning
Scan it. Sell it.
Give each item its barcode and sell by scanning, with a scanner or the camera. Within a store a barcode belongs to one item, so a scan can’t pick the wrong one.
