For supermarkets and provision stores

A thousand items. One count.

Supermarkets

A supermarket or provision store carries hundreds of items that each sell a little every day. Nobody can hold that in their head. Tabs is inventory and sales software being built for a shop like that.

Sell by scanning, see what is running low before the shelf is empty, and count one aisle at a time without closing the shop. Tabs hasn’t launched yet. Join the waitlist and we’ll write to you when it opens.

01 · Scanning

Scan it. Sell it.

Most of what you sell already has a barcode on the pack. Scan it with a scanner or the camera and it goes on the order. Each scan adds one, and the stock comes off as the sale is made.

  • Receive a delivery by scanning it in
  • Tap or search for loose goods with no barcode
  • Bring your product list in from a spreadsheet

02 · Low stock

Know before the shelf is empty.

Set a reorder level on what you can’t run out of. Tabs flags it on the Inventory page and the dashboard, and the bell tells you the moment it crosses the line.

  • Anything with no level of its own is flagged at 5
  • Filter by supplier to write the order
  • Stock value at cost, any day

03 · Counting

Count the drinks shelf on Sunday.

Tabs shows what it expects and you type what you counted. Only what you counted is corrected, so you can do one shelf today and another tomorrow with the doors open.

  • What you leave blank isn’t touched
  • Every correction kept, with who counted
  • Short and over, item by item

04 · The floor

Two shifts, one shop.

Plan who opens and who closes, and give each shift its checklist. The morning shift leaves a handover note, so the evening shift knows the delivery came short.

  • A weekly roster your staff can see
  • Opening and closing checklists
  • A name on every sale
